Linganore Reggae Wine Festival 2015

On Sunday, I spent the afternoon at the Reggae Wine Festival at the Linganore Winery in Mt. Airy, MD with my friend and her friend.  We were able to tour the facility as well as indulge in several wine tastings throughout the day.
The weather was beautiful and the music was really good.  I enjoyed the bands as well as the freestyle music that allowed people to participate in all of the line dances including the Cha Cha slide and The Wobble and a tad bit of "trap music".

Terrapin Dry White
My favorite wines were the Dry white wines.  I purchased "Terrapin" and "White Raven".
The Terrapin white is described as Medium bodied semi-dry white wine with hints of honeysuckle and stone fruit, similar to a drier Riesling.
The White Raven which was my favorite was very similar to Pinot Grigio.  It is described as a light bodied white wine that has a crisp citrus nose, with refreshing lively acidity throughout. Similar to a Pinot Grigio.
White Raven
The reds were equally delicious including a Dry Red blend called ( Bah-che-o-nee) in Italian means “ A big Kiss”. They describe it as  A light red blend of Chambourcin, Barbara, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Berry nose gives way to a combination of red fruit, white pepper and oak with floral notes.  You can visit the Linganore website for additional information on their delicious wines: www.linganorewines.com
